Dear Parent/Guardian

We are now well into the Spring term and the latest news/events associated with the School are as follows:-

1. Mid-term Break
   The School will be closed as follows:-
   • Friday 12 February - In-Service Day. School closed to pupils.
   • Monday 15 February - Mid-term Holiday. School closed to staff and pupils.
   • Tuesday 16 February - Mid-term Holiday. School closed to staff and pupils.
   • Wednesday 17 February - In-Service Day. School closed to pupils.
   Normal timetable will resume, for everyone, at 8.55 am on Thursday 18 February.
2. S5/6 Parents' Evening
   The S5/6 Parents' Evening will be held on Tuesday 23 February. Letters of appointment will be issued in the next few days.
3. War Memorial Trust Meeting
   The next meeting of the War Memorial Trust will be held, in the School, on Monday 1 March at 7.00 pm.
4. Talent Show
   The Annual Talent Show will be held, in the School, on Thursday 4 March. This is always a hugely popular event and tickets will be on sale in a few days time. Auditions have taken place and the acts have been selected. Once again, it has all the makings of a great night and I would advise you to buy your tickets early to avoid disappointment.
5. Parent Council Meeting
   The next meeting of the Parent Council will be held, in the School, at 7.00 pm on Thursday 4 March.
6. Health Fayre Week
   Monday 8 March sees the beginning of our Health Fayre. This is a week-long set of activities in which every pupil in the School participates I would invite any of you to come along - at any time - during the week and 'pop in' to see the activities for yourself.
   Everyone must take care of their health. You only get one chance so why not come along and see the latest health 'tips' - and see the fun that goes with it!
7. Blood Transfusion Service
   On Thursday 11 March, the Blood Transfusion Service will be visiting the School all day.
   I would ask all of you to come along and join staff and pupils in donating blood. This is truly a life-preserving deed and is absolutely vital to people of all ages and with a variety of ailments. Literally, you will be saving a life by donating a pint of blood. Please contact either Mr Stewart or Mr Fleming to book an appointment, which should only take around 15/20 minutes in total. I would ask all of you to make an effort for this wonderful cause.
