Weekly Bulletin

Fitness Suite
The workers will be arriving to set up their site, to begin building our Fitness Suite, on Monday 1st March. The work will not be finished until the start of the new session in August.
This will mean that the Fire Exit from the English corridor will be out of bounds from now until August.
Only the workmen will be allowed to use it – unless of course, there is a Fire or a Fire Drill.
Pupils should not use it to enter or leave the school. In addition, pupils should avoid using the English Corridor and go by way of the Social Subjects Corridor instead.

School Show Audition Rehearsals
Please note that rehearsals for the dancing and singing elements of the audition continue this week.

• Dance rehearsals takes place on Tuesday 2nd March at 4PM in the Gym.
• Singing rehearsals takes place on Friday 5th March at 12:15PM in Music.

Everyone who wishes to audition for the show must have attended at least 1 dance and 1 singing rehearsal.
Auditions will take place on Tuesday 9th March at 4PM for S2/3 pupils and Wednesday 10th March at 4PM for S1 pupils. Anyone unable to make their allocated day can come along on the other day.

PRC Meeting
There will be a meeting of the Pupil Representative Council on Thursday 4th March at 12:15PM in the Conference Room. Any pupil wishing to have a matter raised should speak to their PRC representative.

Talent Show
Tickets for this year's Talent Show will be on sale today in the Social Area at morning and afternoon intervals priced at £3.

Blood Donor Programme
Please give blood! The Blood Donor programme will be visiting the school once again as part of the Annual Health Fayre. Thursday 11th March is our date and donations can be made between 10AM-12PM and then again from 1:30PM-3:30PM.
This is a very important service and it would be fantastic if we could maintain our record of donations.
Staff: Please add your name to the list which is posted in the Staff room.
Senior Pupils: Please speak to Laura or Matthew to book your time.

Wednesday Afternoon Options Sheet
There are a number of pupils who have not yet returned their Wednesday Afternoon Options Sheet to the office. Any pupils, who have still to hand this in, must do so immediately! If you have lost your form, see Mr Fleming today to get a replacement.

Buddying Log Sheets
All buddying log sheets - completed to the end of February - should be handed in to Mrs Dyett as soon as possible.

School Show Dance Auditions
Everyone who wishes to audition for High School Musical must learn the Audition Dance.
There will be two opportunities to learn this dance: Thursday 25th February and Tuesday 2nd March - both at 4PM in the Gymnasium.
Pupils wishing to participate can attend one or both of these rehearsals.

Talent Show

Beach Volleyball
This is your chance to participate in one of the most popular events in the session and it is to be held on Tuesday 9th March. There should be two people per team and names should be passed to Mrs Bleach as soon as possible, as places are limited.

Wednesday Afternoon Options Sheet
There are at least 60 pupils who have not yet returned their Wednesday Afternoon Options Sheet to the office. Any pupils, who have still to hand this in, must do so by the end of Monday 22nd January 2010 at the latest! If you have lost your form, see Mr Fleming today to get a replacement.

Strictly Dalziel Dancing
Once again we are looking for a big representation from S1-S6 pupils. Pupils will need to get a partner to take part in this fantastic dance competition, where you will compete for a place in the final which takes place the week of the Health Fayre. Rehearsals will be on a Tuesday and Thursday at lunchtimes in the Assembly Hall and will start on Tuesday 9th February. If you are interested in taking part, speak to Mr Fleming at morning or afternoon interval for more details.

S3 and S4
S3 and S4 will have extended assemblies on Wednesday 24th (S3) and Thursday 25th (S4) to go over the options process. This will be a slightly longer assembly than usual. Period 1 teachers should accompany pupils as normal to the Assembly Hall.

High School Musical
Any S1-3 pupils interested in auditioning for this year's School Show - "High School Musical" - should collect audition scripts from the Drama Department from Monday 8th February. Everyone who would like to be on stage needs to audition. Keep checking the Drama notice board for details about dance and singing rehearsals for the auditions.

S6 Buddying
Please hand in your log sheets, completed until the end of January, to Mrs Dyett before Thursday.

Work Experience
Please hand in your employers assessment form to either the office or Mrs Dyett as soon as possible.

Hooded Tops
Hooded tops with the School badge can be ordered from Mrs Dyett. Please note you must either attend an extra curricular sports club or play for the school before you can buy one - they are for sporting use only!

Enterprise Company
Can't think what to get that someone special for Valentine's Day? Then share the love and get a present for them delivered by us - Sweetness Inc. Enterprise Company. We will deliver a small sweetie filled gift bag from you for a fee of just £1 - can you refuse this offer? This includes delivery of your gift on Tuesday 9th February with a message of your choice. Forms are available from the Social Area, Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday morning intervals.

Dalziel's Got Talent
Got a talent - singing, dancing or an expert at juggling? Want to show off your talent to the school? Then why not enter Dalziel's Got Talent on Thursday 4 March 2010. Entry forms are available from the HE Department at morning intervals.

Valentine Roses
Achievers International will be delivering red roses to the "One You Love" on Thursday 11th February (before the mid-term break). All you have to do to take advantage of this service is to get your Application Form and hand it to a member of the Achievers Group, or Mrs Kilgariff and we will do the rest! The charge is £1 for a standard rose and £1.50 for a deluxe rose. The Achievers group will be in the Social Area with samples all next week.

Art Work
Any pupils who had work displayed in Ms McWhinnies' room from last year should come to AD3 to collect it this week.

Injections
Classes will be disrupted on Tuesday when the whole of S3 have D.T.P. injections - this will also affect some S4/5/6 pupils who missed it in S3.

Hockey Training
Hockey training is cancelled on Wednesday because of the S2 Parents evening. It will resume on the 10th February as usual.
Hockey Hooded tops are now ready for collection in the PE base. Anyone wishing to order one please see Mrs Dyett.

S6 Buddying

Work Experience
Can any S4 pupil who was not at assembly on Thursday please collect their Work Experience Evaluation sheet from Mr Fleming as soon as possible. This has to be returned before the end of February.
All S3s should now have their Wednesday afternoon Option Form. Please return this as soon as possible, by February 11th at the latest. If you do not have one please see Mr Fleming. If there are any questions regarding work experience or volunteering please see Mrs Dyett.
