Weekly Bulletin

Monday 16 November 2009

PRC Meeting
There will be a PRC Meeting, in the Conference Room, on Wednesday 18th November beginning at 12.15pm. Any pupil wishing to raise a matter should speak to their PRC representative.

Top Corridors
Pupils are reminded that the top corridors are out of bounds during intervals and lunchtimes unless you have a valid reason – a valid reason does not include "putting your bag in" – pupils should be capable of looking after their own bags for the duration of intervals and lunchtimes and staff cannot be held responsible for lost items.

Firpark Party
All S6 pupils who are interested in helping at the Firpark School Christmas Party please attend a meeting in ML2 at 12.30 on Tuesday 17th November.

S2 Barclay
All S2 Barclay pupils going on the House Trip are asked to return their consent forms and pay as soon as possible. Money and forms can be given to any Barclay Prefect or to Mrs. McCann in guidance.

HPV Injections
Some classes may be disrupted on Tuesday 10th November due to S2, S5 and S6 girls receiving their HPV injections.

Hockey Players
Anyone interested in purchasing a hooded top for Hockey please see Mrs Dyett in the PE department this week.

S6 Buddying
So far, only two pupils have handed in their assessment folio which was due before the end of October - these must be handed in to Mrs Dyett as soon as possible. Log sheets for the month of October should now have also been completed and handed to Mrs Dyett. All staff have a copy of the log sheets so there is no excuse.

Scottish Group Awards - S5/S6
This is your last chance for registering your subjects for a Scottish Group Award. Sheets should be handed in to Mrs Dyett before Thursday.

Valuables
This is yet another reminder that valuables should not be brought to school. We cannot be held responsible for loss of valuables and we cannot get involved in searching for them. Last week another pupil lost a very expensive item. While this is extremely disappointing, we could not do anything about it. It should not have been in school.
Take the warning – do not bring valuables to school – and this includes mobile phones, which are banned in school. There are facilities in place to receive/send emergency messages if required.

Library Consultation Group

The Librarian would like to set up a "Library Consultation Group" and invites pupils from all years to volunteer some time. Meetings would be once a term and it would be a chance to add your input on what the library does and what you would like to see happening in the library. See Ms Allan for more details.
