Weekly Bulletin

Monday 22 March 2010

Fitness Suite
Restrictions on movement now apply in the English corridor during the day.
Entry will be blocked throughout the day for everyone - with the exception of the morning and afternoon intervals and lunchtime, when it will be open. The only exception to this will be if there is a fire alarm.
There can be no compromises to this - for many reasons, including Health & Safety – and everyone is asked to be aware of this and abide by this instruction. It will mean a bit of inconvenience at times, but the bigger gain is definitely worth paying for.

Games Morning
House Officials are currently selecting teams for the Games Morning on Thursday 1st April. Remember, the whole school travels to Wishaw Sports Centre to watch the event, so if you aren't lucky enough to be selected to represent your house, you will need to buy a programme to spectate. These are on sale this week, priced at 20p, and are available from the PE department at intervals and lunch hours.

Inter-House Cross Country
All runners should check the PE noticeboard to ensure their name is included and then confirm their availability for Wednesday 31st March with their House Captain.

S6 Buddying
All completed and signed log sheets should be handed in to Mrs Dyett before Friday 26th March.

Fitness Suite
The workers will be arriving to set up their site, to begin building our Fitness Suite, on Monday 1st March. The work will not be finished until the start of the new session in August.
This will mean that the Fire Exit from the English corridor will be out of bounds from now until August.
Only the workmen will be allowed to use it – unless of course, there is a Fire or a Fire Drill.
Pupils should not use it to enter or leave the school. In addition, pupils should avoid using the English Corridor and go by way of the Social Subjects Corridor instead.

Rehearsals will be on a Tuesday and Thursday at lunchtimes in the Assembly Hall and will start on Tuesday 9th February.
