Health Fayre 2010

Health Fayre 2010

Our Annual Health Fayre was opened on Monday of this week by former Scottish athlete Yvonne Murray MBE.

The Health Fayre is being held this week in the School Assembly Hall and runs from Monday to Friday. Every pupil will pass through the Fayre updating personal details, being exposed to health related matters and even trying out a number of different types of healthy exercise. In addition, there are a whole host of lunchtime activities, centred around this year's theme - "Aiming for the Highest", in which pupils and staff can participate. We will also be attempting to "climb" Mount Everest, which will require, on average, everyone in the school climbing a set of steps ten times during the week.

On Thursday 11 March the Blood Transfusion Service will be visiting the School to take donations. Please give serious consideration to coming along - with staff and pupils - and donating a pint of blood. The Service is open from 10:00AM - 12:00PM and from 1:00PM - 3:30PM and parents are encouraged to come along and donate.
