The Rotary District 1020 Technology Tournament was held in Kilsyth on Wednesday 8th March where teams had to complete a previously unseen project using their technology and engineering skills.
This year’s task was to create a pipe-line cleaner which would move any debris in its way.
Dalziel High School entered two teams from S1/S2 and in true Dalziel High School style both teams finished joint first in our category. This was the first time the competition has ever had joint winners.
Both teams had just over 5 hours to design, build and write a portfolio, only finding out after they arrived they had to make a battery-powered vehicle that could drive along a pipe and be able to push pieces of wood to the end of the pipe.
