About the Fayre

Here at Dalziel High School, we are currently launching our third annual Science and Technology Fayre.

This year's Fayre will include not only 160 S1 pupils (12 year olds), but also P7 pupils (11 year olds) from our three associated Primary Schools: Knowetop Primary, Ladywell Primary and Glencairn Primary. The Primary Schools will compete in the Junior Section of the Fayre.

The Science and Technology Fayre allows pupils to research areas of Science and Technology which they find interesting. They are required to build a model or devise an experiment to demonstrate their chosen area of Science. Throughout their research and model preparation phase, the pupils will be working with key Scientific and Technological Companies for support. In addition they will display and present their findings using a variety of multimedia applications.

The Theme of the 2010 Science & Technology Fayre is for pupils to select an area of Science & Technology that interests them.
