Burns Supper 2013

Although traditionally held on the 25th of January, Dalziel held their Burn’s supper on the 21st of the month. With the senior prelims coming up, the night in dedication to great Rabbie Burns was a well deserved night of rest for 5th and 6th years from their studies.

Scottish Independence

Scottish Independence. Merely thinking about the issue sparks a frenzy of questions and debate inside your head. Should we be an independent country? What will independence mean? So, the modern studies department attempted to answer these questions in a mock referendum campaign which took place from the 14th to the 18th of January.

Senior Prelim Exam Diet 2013

Pupils in S5/6 will finish classes on Friday 25th January to start their Home Study Period on Monday 28th January. They will return to normal timetable on Thursday 14th February, following the February holiday and INSET days.

Micro-Tyco

During the month of November Dalziel High School participated in a charity event for Micro-tyco, a charity with the intention of raising money to give out mini loans to those in need in foreign countries.

Higher Geography Fieldwork

The Higher Geography class enjoyed a weekend at Kilbowie where they got the opportunity to experience the landscapes that they study as part of the Physical Geography course.
