On Monday 24th March, the staff of Dalziel High School challenged the S3/4 team in a game of netball.
On Wednesday 26th March 15 Dalziel High School pupils participated in the North Lanarkshire Dance competition at Airdrie Town Hall.
In August, we established a ‘link schools project’ between Dalziel and a school in Farmville called Fuqua.
Calum Friel took part in the National Engineering & Science Competition last week in Birmingham.
Guest of honour at the opening of the Health Fayre 2014 was Scottish gymnast Steve Frew. Competing in his 4th Commonwealth Games in Manchester in July 2002, Steve made history for Scotland when he won the men’s rings event.
On the 5th March, three of our S5 pupils, Alison McNeill, James Swinburne and Chloe Murphy were delighted to receive an email from Strathclyde University advising that their application for Scottish Space School 2014 had been successful.

On Monday 24th and Tuesday the 25th of February, Dalziel High pupils showcased their exceptional talent at the annual Arts Festival run by the Youth Arts and Literary Guild.
Fortunately for myself and several of my classmates, Amy Joyce, Charlotte Bose, Emma Scott and Ibrahim Ahmid, we were accepted to participate in a medical career day at Kirklands Hospital, Bothwell.
Calum Friel has been offered a place at the National Science & Engineering Competition which will take place in Birmingham in March 2014.
