A group of our S2 pupils took part in a competition run by the Weir Group and Scottish Engineering. They had to research and produce a report on the title "The Importance of Engineering to Scotland".
A group of S2 Business Management pupils from Dalziel High School recently visited Coca-Cola Enterprises in East Kilbride. Lead by Business Education teachers Mrs Louise Kerr and Mrs Donna McCann, pupils were given the opportunity to see how Coca Cola develop, produce and market their highly successful soft drinks.
Yet another successful year at the North Lanarkshire County Sports competition for Dalziel High School, with the school winning a number of medals and competing to a high standard across a range of disciplines.
Girls from Dalziel experienced success at a North Lanarkshire Dance competition at Clyde Valley High School, with all groups which represented the school being placed.
The Passport to Health group consisted of a group of S1 & 2 pupils who were mentored through the program by teachers who volunteered to be tutors. The aim of the program is to help pupils look at their lifestyles and select areas that they could improve in to make them healthier and happier.
The Geography Department visited Kilbowie Outdoor Centre near Oban last week with 33 of our S2 pupils.
The Biolab at Strathclyde University allows students the unique opportunity for hands-on experience of learning new lab skills and discovering applications of biotechnological processes in health and industry.
The Science and Technology Fayre 2013 was an incredible success and it was evident just how much time and effort all of the pupils and staff devoted to the successful completion of the science projects.

After an indifferent season on the pitch Dalziel S1/2 side ended the year with a fantastic performance to defeat Cathkin and win the Morgan Sindall Shield!
