Choral Shield Winners 2026 - Greig House !

Returning to the beautiful Town House in Hamilton for a third year, seniors from our three houses presented two nights of song and dance to sold-out audiences from across our school community

They were honoured, too, to offer a special matinee performance for some of our incoming Dalzielians who joined us from our feeder primary schools.

Firstly, Barclay took us on a “Blast to the Past”, turning back the clock as they danced through the decades. On a time-warping mission to restore the spirit of the Choral Shield, they flashdanced past Jerry Lee Lewis, the Spice Girls and Coldplay.

Next, “Greig Marks The Spot” as those land-lovers set sail on the high seas, m’hearties, and welcomed us on a pirate adventure. With Bruno Mars’ “Treasure” and The Police’s “Message in a Bottle” amongst the sea-shanties, they set their eyepatches on the Choral Shield.

And finally, it was time for Colville to Play Cupid as they declared their love for the Choral Shield. With songs like “Take a Chance on Me” and “You Give Love a Bad Name” making audience hearts flutter, this was far from a “Bad Romance.”

In the end, it was Greig who found the hidden treasure and added the Choral Shield to their hoard.

With a special performance from the junior school cast of our upcoming production of “The Addams Family: The Musical”, our Choral Shield is a shining example of everything Dalziel stands for, building a culture of respect, inclusion and achievement in our pupils as they “aim for the highest”, together, in all that they do.
