Sponsored Walk 2015

Dalziel High School’s annual sponsored walk around Strathclyde Park took place on Friday 29th May 2015

Pupils took part in the walk to raise funds for the British Transplant Games which North Lanarkshire are hosting in August 2017 on behalf of the charity Transplant Sport. The Games aim to demonstrate the benefits of transplantation, encouraging transplant patients to regain fitness, whilst increasing public awareness of the need for more people to join the NHS Organ Donation Register.

Pupils from S1-3 took part, proudly walking the perimeter of the loch, with a huge Dalziel High School banner leading the way. The school was delighted to have Claret and Amber (Motherwell Football Club Mascots) officially start the walk.

This event provided pupils with an excellent opportunity to keep fit and raise money at the same time. It was a great achievement for all pupils involved. A huge thank you goes to all staff, pupils, and members of the PTA who made the event such success
