Sponsored Walk 2013

Dalziel High School’s annual sponsored walk around Strathclyde Park took place on Friday 14th June 2013.

Students from S1-S4 took part in the walk to raise funds for the Dalziel High School War Memorial Trust to assist with the running costs of Dalziel Park. This year the money raised will be put towards a refurbishment of the changing rooms, which the school makes use of on a regular basis.

Over 300 pupils took part, proudly walking the perimeter of the loch, with a huge Dalziel High School banner leading the way. The school was delighted to have Claret and Amber (Motherwell Football Club Mascots) officially start the walk, and S4 pupil Scott Findlay piping the procession round the first section of the walk.

This event provided pupils with an excellent opportunity to keep fit and raise money at the same time. It was a great achievement for all pupils involved. A huge thank you goes to all staff, pupils, and members of the PTA who made the event such success.
