Science & Technology Fayre 2013

The Science and Technology Fayre 2013 was an incredible success and it was evident just how much time and effort all of the pupils and staff devoted to the successful completion of the science projects.

This year the winning group were the Tunnel Tigers. They researched about Hydro-Electric Power and how it is produced. They worked extremely hard to build a functioning water turbine that generates electricity.

This water turbine was made from a plastic milk carton, 2 cd's, a wooden dowel, 2 corks, 8 magnets and 4 coils of wire. When these materials are put together they make a working water turbine. Wow this is real science!
