School Captain
Hi everyone! My name's Lauren Hetherton, and I am so pleased and honoured to have been elected as this year's School Captain. These past few years have been incredibly difficult for everyone across the globe, but I am determined to make sure that this year we can get back to some form of normality within our school, after all the Dalziel spirit is something to be reckoned with.

I would love to congratulate Mehran Ali on being elected this year's School Vice-Captain. I know that the two of us will make a great team. Together, along with the fantastic team of House Officials, we will strive for the very best in everything we do and, of course, all the while we’ll ‘aim for the highest.’

I know this year is going to be a belter. I’m so excited to get to work and get ready to take on all the amazing challenges ahead. I really want to make this a year that when Dalzielian’s look back on it, it brings a smile to their face.

Hi, my name is Mehran Ali and I am absolutely delighted to be your School Vice-Captain. A huge congratulations to Lauren Hetherton, our School Captain and all our House Officials who have been elected too. I’m sure we are going to make a great team together. Thank you to everyone that voted, I hope that I can live up to your expectations!

I hope our 1st year pupils have settled in well into Dalziel and have just as an amazing experience that I have had throughout my time at Dalziel.

I’m confident we are all going to work extremely hard to make this the best year possible. We have had a rocky year with Covid and gone through some surreal times, however, we will endeavour to continue to aim for the highest (summa petenda) no matter what challenges come our way. I know our roles have significant responsibilities in my final year and with the support of our fantastic pupils and teachers, I’m sure we are going to have a great year!
