Sponsored Walk 2011

S1 and S2 pupils took part in an organised walk around Strathclyde Park in aid of the War Memorial Trust on Friday 3 June.

It was a fantastic achievement for all pupils involved, who have worked hard to raise as much funds as possible for the Memorial Trust over the last few weeks.

Over 200 pupils took part, proudly walking the perimeter of the loch, with a hugh Dalziel High School banner leading the way.

The school was delighted to have Stevie Kirk from Motherwell Football Club officially start the walk, and S6 pupil Gillian Dorman piping the procession round the first section of the walk.

A hugh thank you goes to all staff, pupils and guests who made the event such a success, and particularly to the members of the PTA who gave up their time to assist on the day.
