Dalziel High Sponsored Walk 2018 raised a total of £1043.00

Dalziel High School's annual sponsored walk around Strathclyde Park took place on Thursday 24th May 2018.

From the walk we managed to raise a grand total of £1043. Just last week some of our current S2 pupils who experienced the sponsored walk for the first time this May handed over the cheque to Norman Douglas a representative from our chosen charity LAMH (Lanarkshire Association for Mental Health.)

He talked to us about a new project they are setting up trying to integrate those who have suffered with mental heath back into the community and eventually back into the work place by taking part in volunteering at Chatelherault Country Park.

Raising awareness of mental health is very important and as such some of our S5 pupil's have been training to become Mental Health Ambassadors for our school after the success of last years group.
