Paris Trip 2024
On the 31st of May 2024, forty excited S4 pupils and four teachers set off on a trip of a lifetime to Paris. Before leaving the school there was a hard fought pétanque championship which was won by Zack Fleming and Ethan Beggan.
After a short flight from Glasgow to Charles de Gaulle, we were welcomed to The Dream Castle hotel in Marne La Vallée by our tour guide Roddy. The first night was mainly spent getting comfortable in our rooms and planning the days ahead.
The second day was spent exploring the city of Paris itself. Roddy took us to the many famous sites in Paris including, The Trocadero, Eiffel tower, Seine boat tour, Sacré Coeur, Montmartre and the Louvre. The city was buzzing with the preparations for the upcoming Paris Olympics this Summer. Although the Scottish rain seemed to follow us for part of the day, we still had a marvellous time exploring Paris.
The third day was spent in Disneyland. Pupils were able to enjoy all the rides and attractions across both parks and the evening was topped off with an extraordinary light display above the Disney castle.
The last day was spent in the Disney village and some shopping in Val d’Europe. A lovely lunch of traditional crêpes were served to us in Le Menhir in the Place Toscane before our outbound flight from Paris Charles de Gaulle.
We hope you all had a great time in Paris.
