Pipe Band Success

Congratulations to our pipers and drummers who contributed to the North Lanarkshire Schools' Pipe Band's success at the recent World Championships.

The event took place across the 14th and 15th August in Glasgow Green with over 200 bands from across the world completing. NLSPB Novice B band placed 5th in their category, and the Novice A band took the title spot in their category and were crowned World Champions.

The NLSPB is made up of pipers and drummers from schools across the authority and we are delighted that a large proportion of players in both bands come from Dalziel.

The pupils, along with their tutors, have worked tirelessly all year and we offer all involved our sincerest congratulations.
