Scottish Concert Band Festival - Gold Award

The school concert band travelled to Carlibar Primary School, Barrhead, on Sunday 1st December to take part in the Scottish Concert Band Festival. The band had been rehearsing for months, including sectional rehearsals at lunchtimes, to prepare 4 pieces for the panel of adjudicators. Bands are adjudicated against set criteria and we were delighted to be awarded a Gold Award, with special mentions to our percussion section. As a result, the band have been invited to the national finals in Perth Concert Hall on 15th/16th March 2025.

As well as the hours of practise that pupils put in to prepare for the performance, we would like to pay a special thanks to Mr McQueen, Mrs Woods and Mr Crawford for supporting our pupils along the way.
