Voyage à Paris 2023

This June, 40 Dalzielians had the opportunity to discover the beautiful French capital. The first trip to France since Covid was a resounding success and was organised by Mrs McCourt who was supported by Miss Mason, Mr Strachan and Mr Purvis.

After a long bus journey and a ferry crossing, the pupils enjoyed discovering the beautiful streets of Montmartre and visited the Sacré Coeur, before heading to their modern hotel in Marne-La-Vallée.

On the second day in Paris, pupils spent the morning in the stunning gardens of Versailles castle before having a picturesque picnic in front of the Eiffel Tower. Pupils enjoyed the warm weather during a cruise by “bateaux-mouches” on the River Seine and finished the day with dinner near the Champs-Elysées.

“Fun” and “amazing” were the two adjectives that our pupils used to describe their last day in France, which involved a full day in Disneyland Paris."

Our pupils returned to Dalziel with “des souvenirs plein la tête” (a head full of memories)
