Christmas Bake Sale

"Due to the Halloween bake sale being such a hit, the Language Committee decided to arrange another one for Christmas. It took the committee and Miss Jacquinet many weeks of planning and preparation to be able to bring you such a fantastic bake sale, and this time all the money raised is going to the charity chosen by the Ambassadors: Médecins sans frontières! Yet again, the bake sale was a great success with a wide range of baked goods sold including freshly made Nutella crepes, gingerbread iced biscuits, brownies, rainbow cookies and lots more. A grand total of £235 was raised and will be used to bring medical humanitarian assistance to victims of conflict, natural disasters, epidemics and healthcare exclusion. Félicitations à nos ambassadeurs ! Congratulations to our ambassadors!"

Christmas Jumper Day

On Friday 10th December, our pupils participated in National Christmas Jumper Day, to raise funds for St. Andrew’s Hospice.

Our Pupil Council did a fantastic job in organising the day, which also included a Bake Sale in the Social Area at interval which was co-ordinated by some of our Senior Officials, as well as a “Guess How Many Sweets in the Jar?” competition, organised by Pupil Council members Dominick Grant and Andrew Gregg (S2).

A huge well done to all of our pupils for their participation and to our Pupil Council for working so hard to organise this.

An announcement about the total amount raised will be made before the Christmas Holidays.

Music Leaders Award

Congratulations to 5 pupils who have received a Music Leaders Scotland Award in conjunction with the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland.

The pupils worked throughout session 2020/21 to fulfil various performance and leadership outcomes, at either bronze, silver or gold level, which included coaching younger pupils, participating in ensembles and solo performance.

The award is intended to offer challenge to highly able musicians and all 5 pupils rose to the challenge remarkably, especially considering school closures and the many restrictions placed upon musicians.

Left to right are Elizabeth Kay (bronze), Samantha Sharkey (bronze), Lauren Hetherton (silver), Emma Morrison (gold) and Abigail Thomson (gold).

We are very proud of your achievements!
